About Us
Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated is a professional
organization composed of registered nurses and
nursing students. On October 16, 1932, Ailene C.
Ewell, with the assistance of 11 other courageous
registered nurses organized the charter chapter of
Freedman’s Hospital in Washington, D.C. These 12
nurses began Chi Eta Phi for two specific purposes:
-
Elevating the plane of nursing and
-
Increasing interest in the field of nursing.
Guided by the motto "Service for Humanity", the Sorority has programs focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, leadership development, mentoring, recruitment, retention and scholarship.
Is your organization interested in health education and disease prevent programs? Do you know nursing students looking for scholarship funding? Reach out to us.
By supporting our programs and events you allow us to continue to give scholarships to deserving nursing students. We encourage you to continue to support the Phi Phi Chapter of Chi Eta Phi.
